Why knocking down a fine old building to make a car park?

Destroying a building of character is bad enough but to replace it with a car park is an appalling idea

Save the Grange. It is part of the towns inheritance and our architectural landscape.

Very disappointing that a company does not exhibit corporate responsibility by finding a way to keep an important heritage building. Demolition is an easy, and lazy solution.

How can anyone be seriously considering demolishing such a lovely looking building which with proper investment could be a real community asset. The proposed option of demolition until someelse can be though of for the site is ridiculous.

It's not as simple as just save the building. The house has been run into the ground by the existing management and now it's just easier to destroy it than keep it. To think Mike and Kim Dean (the un-managers) are still taking deposits on weddings when they know they're about to loose their venue.
