Nigeria has continued to be synonymous with institutionally ingrained corruption, graft, lack of accountability and transparency in the global community. The Nigerian Government under President  Goodluck Jonathan on the other hand has publicly expressed a desire to rid the Nigerian Nation of Corruption at all levels of human endeavor. It comes as an unpleasant surprise that this same government in it's most recent appointments will include the name of Chief Anthony Anenih as Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, an institution with it's own fair share of being mired in the worst examples of endemic sharp practices based on corruption. Chief Anenih as former Minister of Works from 1999 personally oversaw the worst kind of wasteful spending with little to show for it in the area of accountability and return on investment in infrastructure which is very visible in the state of the Federally owned roads earmarked for repairs or overhaul. Hardly is there evidence to show that the over 300 Billion Naira invested in this venture of road repairs achieved the desired results with the consequent loss of life due to accidents. Such a person does not rise up to the standard of competency to rid another government department of the tarnish of endemic corruption. Support the drive to bring pressure to bear on the Federal Government of Nigeria to rescind it's decision to make this appointment. Help support a corruption-free Nigeria. SAY NO TO THE APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF ANTHONY ANENIH AS CHAIRMAN OF THE NIGERIAN PORTS AUTHORITY. Concerned Nigerian Stakeholders
