Against Sherborne and Frensham traffic calming

The traffic calming measures recently installed in Sherbourne Avenue have not contributed in any meaningful way to local traffic safety, and have perversely increased vehicle speeds and associated risk to both vehicle users and pedestrians due to the pinch effect of the badly placed and poorly designed chicanes. An urgent redesign is necessary to correct this situation.

The most ridiculous 'calming' method I've ever seen. The corner is a blind bend. Coming up sherbourne avenue you have to move over to the right hand side of the road. By the time you've committed to moving past the block there's usually a car coming the other way. Utterly stupid! Not to mention the cars that always park around it. It's a big accident waiting to happen. There are alternative methods to choose from and it seems the stupidest one has been chosen.

Iv had a fair few near misses with oncoming cars on this blind bend! It's ridiculous and needs to be removed. I'm all for traffic calming but this is a joke. Why not just use speed bumps.

Dangerous, did contact the council during the works and raised concerns, asked them to send someone out to check what they were doing regarding the blind bend! The buses have to stop there too it's a bizarre thing to do! Accident waiting to happen!

I have lived in my street for 30 years and since this traffic calming thing was put in I have never seen so many near misses of accidents yet prior to this there was hardly any.
