I predict a head on collision on Sherbourne Avenue at some point in the near future! There is no logic in the changes that have been made and the further changes that are planned!

I to make a journey up Waltham daily with my young children in a push chair from the corner of Sherbourn and have to cross 3 roads instead of the one as befor!!
It really is an accident waiting to happen seen a near miss today, know dout nothing will be done till there is one.
On the up side seen a gentleman here today from Nuneaton news taking photos

Not only is the junction at the bottom of Waltham ridiculous and unnecessary, it is an accident waiting to happen...I've been narrowly missed on 3 occasions, waiting to turn out of Waltham by people having no choice but to cut the corner to turn in. Not only is the traffic 'calming' a concern but so too is the poor workmanship. I often take my younger cousin out in her pushchair and there are no longer dropped kerbs on the corner of Waltham to cross on to Sherbourne where there once was; you have to cross from one side of Waltham (at the dodgy junction) to the other, then cross onto Sherbourne, then cross the entrance of Portland just to get to my cousin's house with a pushchair situated on the park side of Sherbourne, (previously I could make one crossing!) I do not believe that the money that has been spent on the project is an effective use of our council tax as it is having no impact- more of a hindrance than help . From the reaction it is certaintly not what the large majority of residents wanted! Displaying the odd 'notice of improvement,' on a few lamp posts in my opinion does not inform the residents of the specific work that was due to be carried out. I believe that the current state of Waltham, Sherbourne and Frensham would be very different had residents been more informed! What a waste of public money!!!

The calming obstruction puts drivers on the wrong side of the road as the oncoming traffic approaches round a bend .

Causes traffic!! Cars backing up in both directions. Attempting to turn left out of the bottom of Waltham Crescent is now virtually impossible and stupidly dangerous!! A narrow gap only just too small for two cars to pass each other yet no signage to say it is. Only a matter of time before two cars collide trying to pass each other and don't know it's not quite wide enough to do so!!!

to put a traffic 'calming' device on a blind bend is beyond stupid & highly dangerous! What's worst is that when the park land is tendered to, council vans are parked on it blocking our view even more!!!!

The traffic calming next to the park is too far up the road into the blind bend which is dangerous. Cars meet head on with each other because you can't see round the bend.
The one further up the road where the bus lay-bys have been filled in are growing weeds because it's not been finished properly with some turf.
The improvements are a total waste of time and money because of a couple of people down sherborne that have nothing better to do with their time except cause problems for people.

Why can't the money of been spent on better things for the estate eg better play areas for the kids, more dog poo bins etc the things that have been done are horrendous and dangerous, buses having to mount kerbs in frensham and another on a blind sport pointless waste of money!!

The kerbs sticking out are just dangerous in the dark and when it snows there are going to be broken cars.
