Petition Against the Rezoning of Good Hope Road/Wertzville Road Intersection

Last thing we need in this frenzy of unbridled development that is ruining what attracts folks to move here.l

Commercial businesses with heavy use on this busy corner will make this area more dangerous. Now, though the entrance to Turkey Hill is on Good Hope, there are problems. Adding more turning vehicles will create more potential for accidents. Wertzville Road is already problematic with the narrowing road going west. Don’t make this area more dangerous.

This area has changed so much in the 34 years I’ve lived here, I remember driving out to see where 81 was when we first considered buying the house, and thinking to myself the area looked practically deserted! Exactly what I was looking for, peace and quiet And a beautiful wooded area . Please let them concentrate these ridiculous strip malls somewhere else. Especially as so many of them sit mostly empty. We already have this monstrous new hotel going in and the traffic is horrible. Heading east on Wertzville from Technology is a literal dragstrip until it merges into one lane and whoever wins is usually doing at least 65 as they go flying by our homes. Where does it end?? It’s not only the aesthetics it’s the safety of the residents who pay taxes and therefore your wages

For years we have been asking for consistent traffic law enforcement on Wertzville Road, with very little, if any, help from PennDOT, PSP, Township. If nothing can be done for the traffic, nothing new should be built to increase traffic.

I am not in favor of this rezoning. As others have mentioned, the traffic around Turkey Hill and the hospital is already problematic. Adding additional cars into the mix is a recipe for more frequent accidents.

There is no benefit to the local residents for the proposed change. On the contrary, any commercial endeavor would look to divert traffic off of Route 81 and into our neighborhood adding to the traffic and congestion. One needs only to spend a few minutes watching traffic go in and out of the local Turkey Hill to confirm this as fact.

Completely against this rezoning idea. Look at the number of new construction within a two-mile radius. We have two of everything in this area. Stop the craziness. Interesting that the company that wants to continue to build no longer lives in this area.....maybe knows what negative impact it will have?

I oppose the rezoning of Good Home Road/Wertzville Road Intersection. Traffic congestion in this area is already problematic, with numerous accidents at nearby lights. Part of charm of area was residential. Will consider moving if development in this area continues.

Not in favor of further commercial development

I am not in favor of commercial development on the southwest corner of Good Hope Rd and Wertzville Rd.

This development plan will damage the community by adding traffic, noise, light pollution, and trash. We don't need additional services given the large developments of Giant and Weis. West of Good Hope should not be developed.

I am opposed to any commercial development on the south west corner of Good Hope and Wertzville Rd.

I am not in favor of the rezoning of up to eight parcels on the southwest corner of the Good Hope Road/Wertzville Road intersection from Low Density Residential to Commercial.
