This petition is being started by the residents/community of the Sulphur/Carlyss area. By signing this petition we are stating that we are not in favor of having a man camp or workforce housing being located at 3559 Highway 90 West in Ward Seven, Calcasieu Parish.
We, the citizens of the Sulphur/Carlyss area, Calasieu Parish, Louisiana petition the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and the Calcasieu Parish Planning and Zoning Board to deny the request of rezoning 3559 Highway 90 West in Ward Seven (RZ07-015-15) from A-1 to I-1 or any other zoning that will allow a man camp, R.V. park, or multi-residential development.
The major increase in the number of people and traffic in the area will substantially deteriorate the property and family environment in which we have chosen to invest and reside.
