I don't see any benefit to taking it further than Steeles. We have ZUM and Brampton Transit to take passengers to the downtown. If a bus breaks down another can follow and go around to continue... if the LRT gets in an altercation or breaks down the next one can not maneuver around the other. I can not see the businesses surviving the construction of the LRT. Keep the current system for the downtown and the businesses can survive and so too the charm and activities already an attraction to the downtown. To return to Miississauga the LRT can travel the short distance to Sheridan and down McLaughlin and over to Highway 10 south. Sheridan is home to 8,000 at the Davis Campus. It exists while a university is only a dream.

LRT Vancouver goes to the Airport. Calgary and Ottawa has approved plans to link their LRT to their Airports. The proposed LRT at Brampton (6 KM length) helps the people who want to go fishing at Port Credit.
A light rail system which don't connect major transit systems in a city is useless.

I agree with the above noted comments, I think its time for the Mayor and council to work together and realize that there are many other priorities to be looked at in and around Brampton. Show us that you really are ready for change in Brampton, the taxpayers have had their fill of promises and lies with our former mayor and council. Stand up for the citizens of Brampton, they voted for you and had faith. Don't let us down.

Don't destroy our historic downtown core, which is by far the prettiest part of Brampton. So much of this city is so ugly with cookie cutter new developments.

It would appear on the surface that some of our Councilors have not done homework and read reports to date. They are quite willing to follow the Mayor who was obviously sent for election to Brampton to ensure this Rail link passes council. As previously in this city, council vote for a huge plan, without knowing or caring for the unknown and uncalculated figures that Brampton tax payers are responsible for. This ideology is now 7 years in planning stage and yet no actual real figures or alternati ve route planning has been shown to us. This is not the White House Madam Mayor, show us the plans and financial cost. Toronto's real cost for LRT is double what was originally stated and still not complete.

The LRT , as currently proposed will ring the death knell for any chance at Brampton to maintain what little of its heritage it has managed to keep . I don't want it to be built as proposed . Follow the money, why is there such a big push to ruin downtown Brampton's chances to retain some history?

Please not through our beautiful historic downtown. Stop at Steeles and re route. We don't need to rip up our streets and we don't need to add to the current congestion. I would like to see the 4 corners a cobblestone walking area and a vehicular by-pass around the downtown.

Too many big vehicles around the bus terminal now. We certainly don't to add to this congestion. LRT in downtown core will keep people away rather than bring more folks in.

There is no way downtown Brampton can facilitate this LRT through Main Street. It should stop at Steeles Ave. and then Brampton Transit can take over.

No thanks!!! Use the money elsewhere ,This is a ridiculous route and does not serve anyone, There are so many different avenues to look at, why destroy the historical presence of our City.
