I believe this change to the layout of Bathurst main and busiest streets will negatively impact local businesses, will create more traffic and take away many car spaces.
I worked at Woolworths for many years when I was mid teens and had trouble finding parking, I worked late hours and often had to walk down Howick street in the dark by my self because of the ridiculous parking Bathurst had to offer and now it’s just going to get worse.
The increase in larger cars and Utes have increased so they will find it very difficult to parallel park. I think I know more people who can’t parallel park than can so that’s just going to cause issues with cars being backed into and cars waiting because there will be no room to pass a car when they are parking.
I always found it really difficult in Orange how their parking was and always appreciated how easier it was on William street with the 45 degree.

Quite a surprise to see BRC proposing the closing of roads and removal of parking in the CBD, given the growth of Bathurst in recent years. I believe the money could be better spent in other areas for example Water Storage, Road re-sealing, improving footpaths

Have not heard of this proposed town plan and believe it will severely impact our vital locally owned businesses.

We need more parking spaces not less. Do not close Russell Street permanently.
This will kill small business!
