Conferring the Laetare Medal upon Vice-President Joseph Biden is Scandalous

According to the New York Post’s story, Hunter Biden in 2015 introduced his Father, then VP in the Obama Administration, to a Top Exec Vadym Pozharskyi at Ukrainian Burisma Holdings Ltd after Hunter joined the company’s board which was Paying him up to $83,000 a Month. The insinuation is that Hunter Successfully Influenced his Father to Pressure Ukraine Government officials “into Firing the Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was Investigating Corruption against Burisma. Facebook and Twitter took action to limit distribution (censored) the New York Post story citing Emails purportedly Revealing Evidence of Influence-Peddling by Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. The Emails were obtained from a Laptop which had a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, and had been Abandoned at Computer-Repair Shop, named “The Mac Shop” in Wilmington, Delaware and owned by John Paul Mac Isaac, who then reported the laptop’s contents to authorities which determined that the laptop and hard drive contain fruits of criminal activity. Joe Biden and his family engaged in "Legal Corruption" despite claims of no wrongdoing and the Liberal Main Stream Media Refuses to Talk and will never Report about Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails, fearing Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden will Lose the 2020 Election if this information is exposed to the American People. This is evidence that Joe Biden participated in his Family’s CASH-for-Influence Scheme with Shady Foreign Companies. The American people should be demanding that the Media investigate this, as they need know before they VOTE, but YOU know that this is Never going to happen.

Presenting this award to Joe Biden, is a disgrace and insult to Our Lady and the Holy Roman Catholic Church! The University of Notre Dame, as the preeminent Catholic University in the US, has a moral obligation to defend the truths handed down from Almighty God and to be an example of virtue and truth and not a disgrace and a whited sepulcher.

It's so dispiriting that the University keeps pandering to political figures and so cheapens the Laetare Medal--is the medal awarded to any person who claims to be a Catholic and is thought by the world at large to be "successful" at something?

Biden is not deserving of rewards from a "Catholic" university....he is political and not fighter for the faith

Disappointing as usual. Out of all the dedicated and worthy possible recipients for this medal...you caved and selected everything contrary to its values.

What a sad that that the university that I have loved for so long can become so controversial regarding pro-abortion "Catholics" in places of power. I was accepted to Notre Dame a long time ago but could never attend because of the cost. I pray for the university of our Lady.

Notre Dame has become terribly disappointing in losing its Catholic character.

Fr. Jenkins seems to disregard most advice from religious superiors / contemporaries to gander political favor instead of having the courage to stand-up for our religious principals.

What a disgrace to bestow honor and provide a platform for a supposed CAtolic who openly, actively and consistently acts in direct violation of church teachings. This is an insult to all Catholics and a particular offense to those who would look to Notre Dame as Our Blessed Lady's special home.

ND gives Biden a medal who stands for termination of human life but prevents President Trump from speaking because he demands respect for our national security to protect our lives?

It is shameful for ND to have awarded the Laetare Medal to an openly pro-abortion public figure.

I am saddened by Notre Dame's willingness to publicly honor those who reject the Church's teaching while claiming to be faithful members of the Church.

These awards are a disgrace to the Catholic identity Notre Dame should have. I praise any of the Bishops that stand up to this dis-service to our faith.

Fr John Jenkins was very wrong to award Joe Biden the Latare Medal as Joe Biden is squarely pro abortion . When Biden performed a service uniting two men in so called same sex marriage he once again demonstrated by this behavior that he wills to break with Catholic teaching.
