It shows MediaCorp does not know what it is doing. MediaCorp has poor judgement and poor taste. It is unaware of the controversy its AL invite will whip up and out of touch with morality in Singapore. MediaCorp fails to do its research properly. Some staff in charge of the AL invite in MediaCorp must bear full responsibility for this unnnecessary public protest. We have enough problems at home and at work. We don't need more problems from this AL invite. Popularity of AL does not mean public consent for AL to perform in Singapore. What does SG50 stand for ? Get this clear and right. MediaCorp has lost it focus. The MDA and govt must clean up and counsel those MediaCorp staff to the point of demoting and removing some people in MediaCorp.

Of the 20,067 signatories, you are saying no one read the news ? Come of it. It takes time to hoist in the severity of AL's performance as the date nears Dec 31st. It doesn't matter whether the petition should have started earlier than 25 Nov. It started on 25 Nov which was more than ample time to garner public sentiment on the invite. The fact that the petition started on 25 Nov meant that much prior discussions were carried out about setting up the petition. Moral turpitude has sunk into Singapore. Like it or not, it speaks of the extent of the moral concern in you for Singapore should you support the AL invite.

To the person who make Singapore 'famous', in the first place, there is no concern at all till this stupid petition appeared on the web. His appearance was announced in October and this only started on November 25, it means you r not even reading the news at all. Pls just banned yourself from the TV, internets, social media and news.

Dear petitioners Feels "interesting" when popular popular opinion is turned against you, doesn't it? That feeling is being misunderstood and maligned? That's how gay people also feel and felt every time it happened to them. I urge you to consider THAT the next time LGBT issues come up. It may look like politics (that's much too easy and lets us off the hook), but we're dealing with human beings and I trully believe that it's about that sour feeling of feeling bullied to fall in line with something you don't agree with. Now that you know how it feels, don't do it to someone else. And no, I'm not gay, so I have no LGBT agenda to promote. I just believe that you should do unto others as you would have them do and poking a hornet's nest means you will be stung by bees.
