We, the members of the Valley Wheel Over 30 Baseball League wish for the expansion to 15-man rosters to NOT happen for the 2012 season. We believe that having 15 men in a lineup severely reduces the quality of play overall and deducts from the fun that is meant to be had playing the great sport of baseball. During the 2011 season, 13-man rosters fostered improvements by players of all levels and increased dramatically the quality of play in the league overall. A 13 man roster allows for and 4 players to miss a game at one time and still allow for the team to field a team and be competitive. We care deeply for the success of out league and at the same time want it to be a highly competitive league. We feel 13-man rosters foster an environment of improvement in skills of all members and increasing enjoyment of the game.
