I definitely think this name should be changed. Africa is a beautiful continent with lots of resources. Both parties would benefit from a better relationship with China.

We read in Genesis that one of the rivers of Eden ran around the whole land of Cush, and another encircled the land of Havilah that yielded gold and onyx and bdellium (2:10-13). These products were found in antiquity principally in the area now known as the Sudan. If the Tigris and Euphrates rivers are located in Babylonia, then there is good reason to believe some of Eden lay in Africa. We are now told that the oldest human remains may also be traced to Africa.

Me, Mohamed Coulibaly, Economist graduated from Huazhong University of Technology in Wuhan China, and working in a Chinese public company, I believe that changing the chinese traslation of the name of the Africa continent from "非洲" to "富洲", is justice. The name "富洲" will reflect a more genuine picture of what the Africa continent is and give Chinese citizens a more accurate perception of Africa. This will, indeed help fight racism and discrimination, and open the gate to more prosperous cooperations between Afrcans and Chineses.
