“非” means “nothing” or “empty”. The name “非洲” actually means “empty land” or plainly “waste land”. I have always harboured this silent resent for this name knowing that it's a bad representation of the continent and disrespect to it's citizens. I'm glad to know someone else thinks the same. Kudos to the organisers of this ipetition.
