Africa 非洲 fēi zhōu. ugly continent in Chinese

This name is really not appropriate with my beautiful Africa. they have to change it.

Every single effort for our pride is important. The change is now

I agree .in my country we say “the name is the person” and I was very disappointed when I came to China ,started to learn the language and found out that my mother land was called the “evil , negative, dark, ...”continent . I believe China Africa relationship is good and will be prosperous , but I think it’s very important that the Chinese authorities change this name. All around the world Africa is called “Africa” but in China because of the language issue they had to find a name in Chinese but then I wonder who sat down choosed and gave ”非洲” as a proper name for ou rich mother continent .please change it

This word is just a trifle to Africans and it's Show How peoples are ignorant here . I think if they take time to study African history and go to see our culture we will not need to signe a petition to Show them Africa is something else than ugly.
