As a native African and behalf of all the African descendants I’m hereby petition to the change the name of 非洲 in Chinese history into 富洲 which the name 非洲 in Chinese is disrespecting and inappropriate

It is not only the name issue, Chinese generally have a generalized lack of respect for Africa and Africans and that includes the political class of the country that benefits most from the “ugly continent”. Chinese official discusión about Africa is always centered about the “we are helping Africa”, “we donated this and that”! This kind of narrative creates a negative image of the African among the ordinary Chinese leading to hatred and discrimination! If African leaders are smart this is the right time rectify this, Chinese currently desperate for “friends”!
