Help Save Tennessee's Entertainment Industry!
In early 2011, the film and television incentive fund managed by the Tennessee Film, Entertainment & Music Commission will be depleted. This leaves our film, television and music industries in a precarious position as one of only a handful of states without competitive incentives used to attract production projects to the state. The negative economic impact will be felt not only by the thousands who make their living in Tennessee's entertainment industry, but by all the vendors who thrive on local purchases made by productions companies while at work. It also negatively affects the many communities who see an immediate infusion of dollars into their local economies when a film or television production spends 30 to 45 days living and working in their county, their city, their community. Without film and television incentives in Tennessee, our crew will be forced to move to nearby states to work. Our talented cast will not be able to work at home. The industry for which Tennessee is recognized worldwide will suffer a crippling blow. Please support incentives for Tennessee's entertainment industry now! The futures of many depend on you!
