The Town of Whiteland charges a flat rate for water used from 0-4,000 gallons. No matter what you do to try to save costs on water, it doesn't matter. You're lucky if your bill is below $80 per month! They do charge per gallon usage on sewer but the difference is only a few dollars and so insignificant, again it doesn't matter, you cannot lower your water bill. The Town of Whiteland's water utility opted out of the IURC in 1985. They are not regulated by the state but by our locally elected officials who have done nothing to address this issue.
