No one person, or group, or institution has any right to put conditions on the validity of human existence. You are valid just because you exist. You don’t have to be hetero or a Christian or anything to be valid. Love is just that- it’s love. Your sexuality is valid. Your love is valid. You are valid.

As someone who went to lee and was harassed for me just existing and me being expressive about myself and not caring I’m glad lee is finally being exposed

As a Lee Univ. alum and a mental health counselor it is imperative that a school for higher education protect the mental health of its students by creating a safe environment for students to explore and grow and not be condemned for behaviors due to religious beliefs of the school organziational background. Lee Univ is first a foremost a University there to educate, not impose religious doctrine.

I am a chaplain and I fully support full inclusion of LGBTQIA students. They are children of God and are fearfully and wonderfully made to be who they are and to love who they love. I believe to not accept them is to not accept a very beautiful part of God's self.

It saddens me to see the institution undermine the legitimacy of its educational purpose by telling their LGBTQ students that they don't belong at Lee.
