A FAIR fee for off-airport parking companies serving PHX

Remote parking prevents congestion at airport parking and promotes the growth of Sky Harbor usage. Remote parking saves the airport the cost of expanding their lots to fill the need of the traveling public and, well, me.

Nothing like putting the competition out of business. I believe they call this "restraint of trade." The City's decisions seem to be getting bizarre with no sound criteria other than raising money . Would they prefer if everyone took the tram to 44th and Washington to meet 50 waiting busses? What a nightmare that would be.

I do not support this additional 20% tax, but do support "A FAIR fee"

Shame on Sky Harbor..it is crowded enough on the airport grounds without thousands more cars trying to use the parking garages. Also, for those of us who are seniors, the walk from the lots to the terminals is often blocks long.

Seriously, an excess fee should not be cast upon offsite parking companies- they provide a vital mean of transportation to & from the airport. With the growth of Phoeniz to expand well I ro the future certainly there are other ways to generate funds or perhaps cut out wasted programs! SH

People use offsite parking because airport parking is not affordable. Introducing a fee will not change that! Lower your prices instead of forcing fee's on people!

Please just leave us alone. I have been using off airport parking since 1988. I'm too old to change.

This is ridiculous. The airport is a service and as such things should be fair. This is designed to favor on airport parking or the SkyTrain. The more volume they attract to the airport, the more the lack of space is evident and the worse this becomes. They should embrace efficient off airport parking.

Dear Sir: It is unfortunate that the airport feels compiled to increase rate for the off site parking. Obviously it will a great negative effect on these facilities and thus result in loss of jobs and make parking more of an inconvience to the traveler. I understand the airport is a business and wants to increase revenue. However it should work to improve service, not the opposite,and not destroy jobs.

This is just proof that when a municipality cannot or will not compete, they will tax you in to non-competitive pricing or cause you out of business.

I will continue to use Preflight parking, but very disappointed in the airport charging a fee to offsite parking to force parking in the airport’s lots. The way to win business is to be better than the competition not to charge a duty fee. This make all offsite prices to rise making them seem like the bad guys while the airport is really the bad guy.

Please do not impose fees to the off airport parking companies. They provide an excellent & efficient service by keeping traffic to the doorway areas to a minimum & their drivers are so familiar with the airport which helps elliminate the "lost" driver numbers & I am sure keeps accidents & delays to a minimum. Those of us that rely on their service do not want that cost added on to our travel experience.

As a regular user of the PreFlight Parking facilities on 44th Street, I add my support for the FAIR fee for off-airport parking at PHX.
