It's ridiculous how much they are charging everyone for power bills. They charge what they want cause they know they can. You either pay it or they cut it off. It's sad to be honest!

Something needs to be done with the out rageous cost of utilities! It's difficult enough for hard working Americans to pay this extortion fee but the elderly/fixed incomes families is absurd!!

I live alone & my power bill was $329 for one month. I've only cooked one meal on my stove in the past 3 months, i usually eat sandwiches.
My bill is triple for Dec-16-jan -17

I have been living with my Mom, haven't lived in my house for over two months, my heat is turned down and my electric bill was over $400!

I agree 100℅ you have alot of people in this area on a fixed income especially the elderly who's power bill took a hike in the amount

Last month I paid $400 on my electric. $150 of it was there add ons. My heat kicks on maybe 2 times a day when it's in the teens. I also have all the energy efficient stuff from light bulbs to hot water heater. Then they send me a statement saying I use more electric than other homes, what a joke. Tired of paying for a plant to be tore down, and one to be built. It wasn't our idea. If I owned a gas station and decided to build one across the street it wouldn't be my customers responsibility to pay for it. It just don't add up. One of the other fees was for all the coal mines that shut down,also not our fault we all got laid off then get charged for it . Aep is geting pathetic

I was late on my electric bill and they charged me a $300 deposit because if it, I always pay my bill,it may be a few date late at the most but it's always paid.

I don't understand why power bills are a lot cheaper in other states and in wv you have to work 2 jobs just to pay a 1 month power bill! Sounds like money is going somewhere
