I don't know if competition is the key here. It seems like only strict government regulation can keep the AEP's greed in check. But the Public Service Commission in Kentucky is a joke! Besides, they are appointed to their positions by the governor. They see no need to help anybody. I just hope someone steps up and helps us!

I feel like with all these fees and increases that people are only working to pay bills anymore. People are struggling to either pay these high prices or feed their families. How can someone who is on a fixed income of let's say $700 pay a $500 electric bill and have money for other necessities? They recommend calling them and getting on one of their plans, what they don't tell you is some of those plans requires you to catch it all up at the end of the year, my aunt ended up paying like $600 last month because of the end of year catch up cost.

Added service to our garage at bottom of our property and they made me pay a deposit when we have service on our house and never been late or disconnected.

It so unfair we can't pay anymore without letting something else not get paid in order to keep our heat on .

Aep waited over three months to send my first bill . At this point my bill had exceeded 736.45 . Also I was charged 181.00 on three separate occasions for first time hook up fee . Had to call six times to finally receive my first bill . Now is this service with a smile? Now I'm freezing to death and I have two children in the home in the middle of January with out power I don't know how we're going to survive with these trials and tribulations please pray for us all.

Times are hard nowadays, when we have an electric bill that is $200 and $200 more is added in taxes and fees, it is just not right, The few working people left cannot keep on going forever. We are hit with more and more taxes and it is not fair.
