Given the cost constraints for international travel and the mandate to promote equine events at the upcoming WEG, it only seems reasonable to let additional host country competitors enter the event. This raises the interest level of spectators and competitors alike.

As President of East End Livestock & Horseman's Association on Long Island, NY, we are finding more and more of our senior members switching to driving and loving it. These members are introducing and encouraging younger individuals to include this sport along with their riding. It is very important for our youth to see a goal to reach. Nothing could be greater than to be in WEG. As the host nation, EELHA supports the continue tradition of adding additional teams to this years WEG.

Overseas travel is often cost prohibitive for 4-in-hands. Makes sense to let all qualified competitors from host counties compete in when the WEG is in their country.

Whatever has been traditional in other host countries, it only fair to treat the United States event equally.
If there are qualified drivers who wish to participate, please allow additional entries for the U.S.A.

I think the US should be given the opportunity to have the additional entries given we are the host country. If it is customarily done at other WEG events, it should be done this year.

We are a 501c3 equine conservation group with 50+++ rare breed affiliate organizations. We think it is important to continue the tradition of allowing the host country to have 6 qualified competitors.
