I'm not happy at all, I'm used to getting high firsts in everything and now I think I've got a 2:2 in this exam. You're bringing my average down to a low first. HOW AM I GOING TO GET A JOB WITH A LOW FIRST!

This is the second time im doing this module, so twice i have gone to lecture and tutorials emailed for help and still not feel as prepared. The constant changing in answers and mistakes in the materials we have been given is totally unacceptable and unprofessional considering the money we as students spend. An awful mark from an exam that isn't well prepared can be detrimental to a students confidence, grade, time and even if they have to stay on at University or not. This isnt the first time its happened this year (Business Finance) come on surrey, this aint a joke.

Walked out after an hour, did not have a clue how to do this exam. Coming back in the summer for a retake is such an inconvenience.

Very confusingly taught, with no structure and lack of preparation of the lecturer before the lectures. A simple module ending up being the hardest to understand with the majority of student being satisfied with receiving just a pass for the module so that a resit is avoided. As the lecture attendance by students clearly suggests, students preferred missing the lecture to try and understand the week's content by themselves rather than participate and end up leaving more baffled than before.

Very confusingly taught. Hard to revise for as the material was all over the place. This was actually alot harder then it should be. Law was a harder module but because of good preparation, it was easy. Of course it is down to the student to study but it is hard to study when you are constantly confused and things keep changing. Very disappointed with this module, not surrey standard.

Sure, one may say that if a student is prepared and knows the material he or she should pass the exam in whichever form it is presented. One may also argue that university is not just about passing an exam and that teachers should not spoon-feed the knowledge to their students. However, this argument cannot be valid regarding this module. During the course of the module far too many mistakes and corrections were made by the teacher in the lecture slides as well as generally bad and inconsistent wording used in the lecture slides and in the additional documents in surreylearn. And this is especially important in a subject like accounting which is based on very strict rules and procedures. Corrections cannot help but only confuse a student who spends countless hours on studying something which is incorrect from the very beginning. Not to mention a completely different exam format from the previos exam papers. The wording of some questions in the exam was confusing (but thus is not the worst problem); the wording and consiatency of explanations in the lecture slides is what might be considered by some students as utterly uncomprehendable. There are neither perfect teachers nor perfect students, for sure. The least the university could do is to make sure that the material set by the module is comprehendable and well presented on the slides. It is also worth noting that it was impossible for most of the students to actually find the required purchase book from the reading list. It simply needs to be said that there were far too many obstacles for some students to succesfully absorb the knowledge of this module into their heads and later perform well during the exam.

I spent countless hours in the library revising for things that he spend so much time on it and din't even came up.. The wording and the structure of the exam was so confusing and I agree 100% that didn't reflect anything that was taught on the tutorials and lectures (where to be fair he spent more time figuring out what he was doing). I also agree that the past papers confused us as the structure was completely different. I hope we get our voices heard, I wish we could get our marks in advance as I believe just like me there are many others that would like to make plans but are too scared to do so as there is a possibility to have to resit.

Really badly taught module. It is unthinkable that we are having to shell out £9,000 later in life for being taught how to flunk this exam, and not how to pass it. You would think the administration of a business management degree could manage itself. I am really unhappy. Top 4 uni where? Not in this department.

the lectures and tutorials should be able to prepare us for the level of difficulty that we're given in the exam. isn't that what lectures and tutorials are for?

The lecturer caused enormous amounts of confusions during the tutorials. He was constantly changing the ways of solving questions. Moreover, a lot of mistakes were done by him in revision notes, past papers and during the lectures. Informing us about some of those mistakes a night before the exam did not help us at all.

Teacher did not focus on calculation in the lecture; calculate wrong answer for several time in a tutorial; upload the past exam paper very late, however, the sample paper was not match the format in the actual exam......,etc.

We were told that the exam would be 20% theory as had been practised in the past paper examples we were given. There were no theory-based questions whatsoever, other than 'comment/explain your answers' to the numerical questions, which we struggled to answer as we had been so badly taught. It's amazing and disgusting that nothing has been done despite senior management having been told on several occasions how poorly organised this module has been. Completely embarrassing for University of Surrey standards.

The whole module was so badly organised, the exam was nothing like past papers, including questions that we were told were not going to be in there. Completely unfair for people such as myself who spent countless long days in the library practicing every tutorial question, lecture question and past paper, over and over again.
