I attended New Future at the age of 13-17. To this day I own my life and childrens life to that school. I was 13, pregnant and had no fathom of an idea how to be a mother. This school though me much more than the requirements to get a high school diploma. The amazing teachers and stuff got me through all types of ups and down. First, before my son was even born the school nurse offered Lamaze classes by the nurse. Where my mother attended with me. The reading program is a major part of helping the students there keep students keep there mind awake. I personally loved it. Reading was a way for me to cope with the fact I was going to be a mother at such a young age. To this day I owe a large part of my sons education to New Futures because he is now in the 4th grade and in gifted classes and I feel it has a lot to do with the fact that the daycare program is the best in Albuquerque. There are so many great things I could say about this school and go on for days. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

I don't think adding 300+ students with out children or pregnant is not going to be beneficial to all the mothers at New Futures who are trying to finish their education while being able to have a safe environment for themselfs and the children. In fact I believe adding these students will be a safety hazard.

I am in total agreement with you alcia fout new futures was designed to keep pregnant mothers, mothers and their children safe. By aps trying to do this they are ruining the whole concept of why the school was even built in the first place. I really hope and pray that aps sits down and reconsiders the situation.

I've gone to New futures and I think it's a safety hazard that that amount of new students with bad backgrounds are being moved in with young mothers and their children

Please reevaluate this. Adding 300 students to the school is a very bad idea to say the least..

This would put the babies in danger. Don't allow this to happen.

The kids going here are kids that made a mistake but are doing all in their power to do better. If you add in kids from troubled lives this is a recipe for disaster. Most likely you will also lose the kids that are trying so hard because they won't have a place for their baby.

I agree w Alicia , new futures needs to stay safe and secure for the mom's and babies that attend this school , I graduated from new futures back in 1998 and if it weren't for this school I don't think that I would have graduated this is a great program for young mothers and there babies and by bringing in 300+students would disrupt the students and can be dangerous to their children
