Very important. You will be glad your child was screened. If nothing else for peace of mind. A $15 test that could detect something life threatening.
Let's get rid of this # 1 killer of our student athletes. Be informed & pro-active. Screen'em all.
Please sign this petition! Both of our girls have had this test. My Mom passed away of Idiopathic Dialated Cardio Myopathy in 2006, and this test could save my girls lives as well as many others! What parent don't wanna know what's going on inside their babies hearts? Thank you to Scott & Melody Stephens for all their hard work & effort! R.I.P. Cody #76
I really think this should be mandatory!!!! Thankful that I allowed my 13 yr.old daughter to get one before athletics this past year! Because of the test we had to go see a specialist and he determined that she has a heart murmur that she should've already outgrown! We wouldn't have known this if it wasn't for her recieveing the EKG! She has had yearly checkups every year w/ her pediatrician but murmur was never detected!
$15 to possibly save a childs life. It doesn't get any less complicated than this!!!
Save lives. Promote Heart Screenings across Texas for our student athletes....

I whole heartedly support this, as I am from Crosby and have seen the devastation suffered by the community from lives lost too soon.
