Sensible idea, theoretically able to give users a broader phonetic range to listen from, adding a practical use as well as equality.

Women are as much a part of Islam as men; we have the right to hear our voices as well!

The first teachers of Islam were women, we've had female reciters for centuries. Stop with the misogyny, you are disgracing the true teachings of Islam.

like any immature male, I may potentially be aroused by a woman's voice, but that is my responsibility to control and my consequences to suffer, not hers. May all who live it also be able to speak it.

"Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood ..." [Q:96:1]
It did not say for men only to proclaim or read. Who is to deny women this favour?
To those who say it causes desire : Have ye not learned self restraint in Ramadan? [Q:2:183] Have ye not accepted Allah (swt) who is without form or likeness, as the first thing in our minds and not the last?

Alhumdu'Allah! Of course, the sacred Qur'an should be recited in ALL HUMAN VOICES regardless of gender, race, ethnicity. Allah CREATED male and female to WORSHIP HIM alone. To deny women that blessing is absurd.

Muslim women need to reclaim the space too. It would inspire me and bring to light reciters we haven't heard from.

I didn't even know there was any opposition to this. It seems so obvious that this should be allowed. Men need to control their fricken hormones. Women should not be limited because of men's insecurity.

Hearing Qur'an recited by a voice that sounds like my own - that is, female - would be amazing and so helpful to me in trying to learn to recite more. Please add a female reciter or two!

Please let there be a female reciter for the Quran. Women as well as men read the Quran, why not let them recite it as well?
