There are many bus services on the island that are crucial and instead of cuts bus routes should be improved with regular routes running all over the island especially in remote areas. Yes it might incurr cost initially on the bus company but in the long run, if routes are frequent & reliable they will get used, may even boost tourism & lead to a greener island.

I live in the big housing estate behind Sainsburys, Newport, that runs to Carisbrooke. The bus service was removed about five years ago and it makes life so difficult. There are a lot of over 60s and disabled people living here with a long walk down to the bus station. Not everyone has a car!

Havenstreet needs a bus. There is no shop no post office no bank. Just a garage and a pub. Not exactly a self sufficient village with a rather high percentage of elderly people who don't/can't drive.

i think its out of order when the people who live in these small country villages are left without a regular bus service. For many of the people who are pensioners, this is there only life line.please have a heart and give these people the service they need.

my nan lives out porch field and if I want to visit her without mum I won't be able to no more as I won't be able to get there

Just disgusting, an island bus service shud cover the WHOLE ISLAND, why cant you use a mini bus to cover isolated areas with fewer passengers needing to use it, you cant jus cut them off.

How about us disabled people who have to rely on the local buses, it is very unfair to cut these services, we lost our little bus that use to go around my estate were there is quite a few elderly people live

This is disgusting! Completely stopping a bus route which is most definitely needed but yet you have paid to have brand new buses and extra routes too and from cowes which were not needed!!

Why don't they have a few less buses to Cowes and from Newport to Ryde and the cost of these could cover a few rural runs.Maybe charge a small amount to the elderly as well.
