Im a developer as well and this basically prevents any additions to a developing market from a South African perspective.

Google does not provide the reason for this. If anyone can find the reason then perhaps a solution to the problem can be made. If the problem is on South-Africa's side, it is just another sign of south-africa detrementing its own economy.

I have also created Android App. After paying for the developer console and paying the guys who made the app I now find that I cannot sell it. I suggest we do not support Google or Android devlopment and move on the Apple Platform.

We really are loosing momentum because we can't sell apps. I have build free apps myself. I tutor other young South Africans Android programming but it pains me to know that there isn't much they can do with knowledge I pass onto them. If SA was to be listed for merchant account I sure would become a business and leave the position I currently occupy for someone else unemployed.

Do surprise us Google. Your reach is worldwide and yet certain developers are not allowed the benefit of a proper working relationship with you by getting paid in their country? Please make it happen!
