Austin Office Facilities Management: Please add frosted privacy overlays to the rest of the conference rooms. The below are just a few reasons why they are requested.

• Meeting attendees become too distracted by people walking by and by what is going on outside of the meeting. People outside of the room trying to communicate and gesture to people inside the room during a meeting, this happens frequently and is distracting. This causes a loss of productivity.
• Managers/employees that are sharing confidential information on the conference room displays are seen clearly by anyone looking into the room or passing by. You can also often times tell what people are saying by reading their lips. This matters when managers are having private meetings with their employees and you don't need the entire office knowing private matters. Think HR, think disciplining team members, think about embarrassing conversations you may need to have with your manager. There is currently no room to retreat to for these conversations.
• Employees should feel that they have a place to retreat with at least a reasonable amount of privacy seeing as the workspace is now open. If employees don't feel comfortable using the new space they will seek alternatives such as working from home or elsewhere which defeats the purpose of creating this new space.

Currently, the Garden Lounge is the only room that has privacy/frosted glass, and we ask that all remaining conference rooms be frosted as well. This should be standard on all rooms.
