Freestyle Libre improves control, which improves health, it is a huge advancement and long term will save money.

Hurry and get this made available, a cheaper alternate to test strips which cost 50euro a box it's a no brainer!

Hi, We have three kids with T1 and are self funding since December. We got our local TD to raise a parliamentary Question in the past week and he has sent us the Minister's reply together with a letter from the head of Services at the HSE which indicates that the HSE has now got all required information from Abbott and is in the process of considering the application from Abbott to be covered under the Long Term Illness scheme. In previous parliamentary questions te Minister for Health used to say that Abbott had not applied to be covered under LTI so at least this seems a move forward.

We have 2 T1 children.This is a fantastic device.We r self funding for our newly diagnosed 10 year old type 1.it will most definitely improve management and reduce costs to the HSE in d long run.

Given the governments allowance of many health destroying foods in the marketplace with proper info for years - the people should not pay the cost
