On January 22 will be ten years since Wordpress is shipping with auto-save from core and out-of-the-box. Drupal user base, still waiting.

On New Orleans, Dries told us we need to focus on content producers needs, but auto-save issue on DO still frozen.

As the real action to fix this is at hand of few hardcore developers, this petition is just an attempt to call they attention from the many Drupalers whom doesn't have the technical expertise to fix it, but still feel part of this community. If you are active on DO issue tracker, there's actually an issue about specific proposals to address this problem at large.

PS: At the moment of this post, the Dries note had ~5.000 views on youtube. That's why I'm setting the goal for 5.500 signatures here.
