The city has officially approved the construction of a mini ramp at Joe Dimaggio Playground. I am grateful to everyone who supported this initiative and helped bring this project to realization. We will monitor the site closely to ensure the installation proceeds as planned.

Final supporters
Joe Dimaggio Playground was updated a few years ago but there is still a large unoccupied area in the center of the park. We feel that the community of North Beach would benefit from the addition of a mini ramp or ramps at Joe Dimaggio Playground.
(Do not choose to donate money!!! We aren't asking for money, just signatures. The petition website is asking for donations not us so don't choose to donate because it is not going towards building anything!!!!!!)

I have been in correspondence with local park administrators to discuss the feasibility of utilizing the central open space for a skate structure. While the process of formal review involves several layers of city oversight, your interest in this project has ensured that our proposal remains on the agenda for upcoming planning discussions.

Having a skate park with prevent kids from skating on people's property and will lower your rates of trespassing.
Let the kids skate with out hassles like when was a kid getting kicked out of EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Besides Maybe LA, San Francisco is Teheran capital of skate boarding and wherever there’s a park people are going to use it and even if it isn’t as popular as people may want it to be ther will always be those five kids showing up to the park to better themselves.
Why not ? Skateboarders are gonna be skateboarders and if we don’t have parks we are just gonna do it on the street and you guys don’t like that so I don’t see a reason why you wouldn’t get the best of both worlds!
Yes! There are so many kids and skaters in this area that will benefit from this.

I play basketball here every night and skate ramps would be an awesome addition!
