With the front of the old cinema bricked up is it going to be a permanent feature and no action?

For goodness sake clear this appalling eyesore of many years and get building - not a supermarket in such a terrible position access wise, but shops, offices, flats and even an hotel perhaps and why not another small cinema for the older generation and children. The new cinema cannot be on the site of the existing one apparently, but surely it could be somewhere else in the proposed building area - a much needed asset compared to the ridiculous positioning of the Longfield Road cinema.

Level the site and make the space available for special events to attract more visitors, or as a minimum, turn it into a temporary car park, so at least it has some use.

What are they waiting for? And do any of them live in this town and have to put up with the eye sore and health and safety risk?

If it is not to be reopened as a cinema, then another suitable use needs to be found for it. The current situation is not acceptable.

Typical of the appalling strategic mismanagement of the town over the last 20 years. It's not a long term solution, but for gods sake at least knock that hideous pile if shite down.
No comment #asyouwouldsay
please please please just pull it down
