As a Physician Assistantship student and a passionate advocate for health equity, I am signing this petition to demand urgent action. No citizen should die because our system lacks the capacity to provide timely, life-saving interventions like PCI. This tragic loss must awaken us to the realities of our health infrastructure. We deserve better. Our lives matter.

We need to get our priorities right, strengthen our health system and avoid such tragic incudents. Moreso when these are highly resourced individuals, extremely difficult to replace. The Galamsey menace and the seriois environmental and public health crises we may be confronted soon if we do not act decisively is another concern

This is urgent national health requirement and if brought to the attention of HE and his Team, this must be addressed with utmost urgency.

Equip our regional hospitals. Fund critical infrastructure. Tell the people the truth about what is broken and where. Build cath labs where they are needed most. Integrate the thousands of trained professionals sitting at home while hospitals cry for help.

In 2020, our staff at Garrison Pharmacy had a beautiful multidisciplinary collaboration with Dr Kwame Adu Ofori to save the life of a woman who came to our pharmacy with a hypertensive emergency and had to be rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. May he rest in peace but we should not rest until we get at least 4 regional cath labs in Ghana: Kumasi, Tamale, Cape Coast and Ho
