I recently joined AWR Cell Phone Evangelism and made a similar request. Last week I received an email from them saying I was unenrolled!

I have 2 young daughters and was gifted an illustrated bible by my church and can attest to how valuable a resource it is in teaching these stories and lessons to them. It's exciting to see their interest grow, and keeping things as accurate to the bible as possible is so important

We believe that God is in character, however children are always moved with what they see and we believe that what they see matters to them

Growing up from Africa Uganda, the movies by then were basically from the west. more so about God and the heaven. my idea was just the same, God, Jesus and angels are white. this left me with no understanding of why the satan was always black in colour. I thought that those who are sinful were black. but then i never knew why i was black and i could not CHANGE my colour
otherwise I strongly support this. I have ,many friends from the west who are not black like me. Through his word i have come to understand why i am BLACK.

it should be common knowledge that during the time of Jesus, people in that part of the world had dark skin.
this could be the beginning of many things that could be said regarding this petition..

Jesus is the Truth, so let the truth be represented appropriatly. Presently it isn't and this idea of representing every Bible caracters as caucasian is take too lightly. This idea is a lie and this isn't what we are about.

To not accurately or historically depict the Biblical characters in light of their known ethnic appearance as s dishonest & a detriment to our reputation and mission

The church needs to wake up in MANY areas of discrimination including this one.

My personal family is multicultural and so is our local church......as is the world wide church....in heaven there will be people from every kindred, tongue, and tribe...let’s reflect that in our literature...praise God!
