Good News:

Nanci Doherty has offered her accounting services again for this coming year – at NO COST. Nanci is an accountant with many years of experience and has provided us with excellent accounting services for the past few years. She is the daughter of Jo Marshall and resides in the community.

Bad News:

>The Board made the decision to terminate Nanci beginning October 1 and hire someone else. The only reason given was “we need to stand on our own two feet”.

>Before Nanci, bookkeeping services cost $6,000 per year.

>The Board decision was approved by a 3 – 1 vote.

>The following Board members voted to terminate Nanci: Pat Donohue, Rosanne Lieberman, Bill Wander

>One Board member voted to keep Nanci: Pat Arner

Reasons to Keep Nanci:

>Save $6,000.

>She is meticulous and accurate.

>She requires appropriate documentation for all purchases and expenditures.

>She has always made herself available for any questions.

>She has led the budgeting process for the past two years.

>She lives in and knows our community.

What We Need to Do:

>If you think that it is OK to foolishly spend $6,000 – do NOTHING.
