Final supporters
The current timetable involves the vast majority of A&F students sitting one exam in week 1 and 5 consecutive exams in 5 days in week 4. For those taking Business Law 2 it will be 6 exams in 6 consecutive days. On top of that, there is an essay due on the 11 May, the weekend just before week 4.
Not only does this shorten revision time but lays an incredible amount of stress on us, having
to revisit significantly different material overnight, for 5/6 days running. We feel that producing good quality results in this time frame is unfeasible.
We are currently paying high fees for a solid education that we hope will be beneficial in establishing a career and we feel it is within our rights to have the timetable revised and rescheduled.
We understand there is a degree of bureaucracy involved and that the university does have its reasons but the mere acknowledgment and dismissal of this petition would be unreasonable for a business school of such prestige, claiming to be one of the best in the UK/world, as well as damaging for its ratings within the leagues as the timetable itself lends towards lower results.
In summation this timetable significantly impairs our chances of achieving that 2.1/first we require.
Therefore, we strongly request the rescheduling of our exams to later in the term and spreading them more evenly so that we have the opportunity to give a true and fair representation of our ourselves through assessment.

I have been reading through all your comments and honestly the stories you are sharing about the pressure of this schedule are heartbreaking. It is becoming very clear to me that this is not just about a few hard days because the impact on your mental health and your academic performance is serious. I am working on putting together a formal request to show the department exactly how unfair this layout is for all of us.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO REVISE PROPERLY???
The stress is unreal. Doing that essay right before finals week is just mean.
This is completely unfair to everyone in the cohort. Please fix.
