This area being closed is a major loss for local communities and recreational activities

Open it up its public land! Made a call in today and got a bunch off unrealistic reasons for closure.

Why close an area without input? Needs to be reopened! There hasn't been a lot of trail maintenance in the forest this season, forcing all users to overuse minimal areas. BS!

Without knowing the person(s) responsible for closing the road/trails and taking out the bridges, I can say that even from afar this smarts of authority gone wild. 'Hope those of you still living in the area can effect a change--and quickly!

I'm for opening the upper valley but people going there have to know there is possible hazards there that includes fire and flooding and many others. Common sense must be used . What also must be understood is that you travel and camp at your own risk and are responsible for your actions like any other part of the forest . No one can take the responsibility of natural events. Have fun And act in a safe manner . Remember in 1971 or so flashing flooding took multiple life's at Preston Creek falls .

The Silver Falls National Recreation Trail bridges could have been removed in tack with more effort to preserve them.

Entiat Ranger, be honest, let us decide. Wilderness recreation has risks and so does driving to the trailhead; let us decide.

Strange Closure: No reason to keep us out. Open that gate and let us hike to the glacier.

Makes no sense to have the upper Vally closed. They are just trying to keep people out.
