When I go into the woods, I always accept a level of risk. Going into an area that has been burned is no different this year from last year.

Leave the road open for recreation. The public has already lost enough access due to other closures like decommissioning.

Horses make a difference in the lives of people. Have a place to ride makes a difference in the life of a horse! Mark

If a tree fell on me I understand it would not be the forest service's fault , under these conditions or regular conditions .

Government agencies need to provide the public they serve with information. It is sad that regulations and decisions are being made by the very people we all support with our paychecks.

I feel that it should be up to the public to decide, not what the government dictates. If it is truly a public safety issue, yes close it, but this does not appear to be the case.

This closure is the result of poor fire suppression efforts- this fire was allowed to burn when it could have been put out when it first started- Money drives the fact that they let these fires burn to certain sizes- if this was such a delicat area( no different than much of the rest of the Entiat that has had fires and not closed) they should have pounded it from its start- I have a brother-in-law that was an incident commander(his last fire before he retired) on this fire and he was embarrassed at how they did nothing but waqtch this fire burn and tear up the Shady Pass road in the process- He did virtually nothing the whole time he was there working- many people are very unhappy with our forest service and their practices and decisions-I'm afraid federal monies dictated how this fire was allowed to burn and how it is supposedly is being rehabilitated- what a sham!!!

One of my most memorable horse rides was through the burn at Sherman Pass after the burn. It has also been enjoyable to see the recovery through the years. I would like to see the Entait opened.

I do believe that what we are discussing here are public lands. And the public should have a strong say as to these lands being closed or open. We are paying for them.

USFS has to come up with concrete arguments to close developed public land trail systems.
