I fully agree with this proposal.
Right now, security barriers are more open then closed allowing everyone to enter/leave without any check. Why do we need a (very expensive) security team then?
Perhaps, indeed, another barrier after the 2nd roundabout to the clubhouse with access only for property owners and (registered?) workers could be a nice option?
Something needs to be done!

Security issues in LC are not new and have been tackled already last year with extra security guard ( 1 i think ) , extra car for the security to be more present at the resort etc....with a good result....until now apparently !
It's a difficult exercise how to improve the security with a well known and attended golf course and a lot of construction going on. I believe a lot of the proposals mentioned here can indeed improve security and have my support. Remember that security in LC contains a huge part of the community costs and will raise accordingly .
Each individual owner ( especially from the villa's who are often easy targets ) could improve the security by installing cameras and/or an alarm. That should be a first step i believe.
I live in Encina and security is an optic every year at the AGM .....by other words this is not new ! LC management is well aware of it. I think only last year we received a mail from LC ( Helena Pardo, speaks also French ) with an offer to install individual alarms, i don't know who signed in, but it's a start.
In Encina the community took the initiative to install several cameras inside the community and i must say ( touch wood ), no complaints since then ( to my knowledge ). Also the community gate is a good thing.
Anyway, anything that improves security has my support !

We had a attempt of burglary in summer of 2018 at 3:30 am. Very scary for my wife who was there alone at that moment.

Mandarino 10. I think that a safe environment is the least we can expect from a resort like Las Colinas.

The general goal is more efficiency and not increase the general security cost if not necessary.
