The purpose of this petition is to create an Organizational Affiliate within the American Counseling Association, titled the ASSOCIATION FOR TRAUMA COUNSELING AND DEVELOPMENT (ATCD). This Organizational Affliate will promote awareness and understanding of traumatology within the field of Professional Counseling. ATCD recognizes the need for special training and supervision in the areas of crisis and trauma, and will help set standards for the delivery of counseling services in disasters (natural and interpersonal) to promote the development, health, and wellness of affected people across the life span.

If you are interested in supporting ATCD in becoming an Organizational Affiliate within ACA please sign this petition.  We need at least 200 ACA Members to sign the petition.  You do not HAVE to be an ACA member to sign the petition (just enter "null" or "no number" in that text box).
