Agree with previous comments about inflicting current parking regulations. Council is very lax about this, those not following rules should be fined and if they continue breaking the rules their parking permit should be revoked. Despite numerous complaints to council about parking on grass nothing was done for a long time. There should also be a limit to number of cars allowed per household, and there should be a limit on how often ‘visitors parking’ permits are used, as some people use them as permanent parking clogging up residents bays. Constant parking on double yellow lines must also be targeted and fines issued. This, I think, would help with current lack of spaces on the estate.

Despite paying for parking there are times when I cannot park because others are coming onto the estate to park. Perhaps worse cars & lorries are parking on the grass creating an eyesore.

As well as a lack spaces there is no enforcement of parking rules within the bays. There is an ongoing problem of inconsiderate parking, particularly by residents parking in a manner which blocks in the vehicles correctly parked & which restricts access for emergency vehicles. I also agree with Robert that the issue of parking on the grass is predominantly caused by residents. I would also agree that there needs to be a limit on the amount of permits per household.

even if the council made the estate residence parking only, it would need to be enforced 7 days a week between sat 7am to 12 midnight

Why are "outsiders" assumed to be solely to blame? Look a bit closer to home, particularly with regard to unsightly parking on grass areas.

Perhaps action by the council will help solve the problem, which might also encourage people not to park on the grass areas

If there is any parking problem then it should be solved. There is no need for any petition. No everyone knows about this petition.
