Please bring the AIM updates back. You've literally blocked me from making any new friends on here. What's the point of calling yourselves a social media platform if now I can't see anyone new?

Here's the thing, aim: if you get rid of the lifestream (and by extension the updates), you'll be getting rid of some key parts that make you a social platform. The lifestream/updates allowed people to connect with not only their friends but also their friends' friends and their friends' friends' friends, and so on. Also, people have been able to post statuses and delete comments from said statuses if they were inappropriate. This is great because people are able to fine-tune their social experience. (And let's be real–the ability to control if people's comments will stay is what being social is all about). Frankly, getting rid of this feature makes me question whether you're even interested in being a social platform in 2017. Getting rid of this feature was a mistake, it's the exact opposite of a social experience, and needs to be reversed. Bring back the lifestream/updates.
