1. It discriminates at a young age based on talent. Teams take the top four from schools. What about the other kids?
2. States surrounding Ohio do not have it. Which gives there a higher number of their athletes more exposure to colleges. Allows the younger athletes more time to develop their games and not feel defeated because their teams are playing they can not.
3. It will not impacts you her athletes self esteem.
4. It causes kids to quit the game.
5. The reasoning I was given from an OHSAA official is they don not want athletes to get burnt out. This is not true. The top our from the same school team plays on. Are they not worried about them?
It is fundamentally wrong for self esteem and it is discriminations on many levels.

I have finalized the formal grievance letter that outlines the competitive disadvantages caused by the current two per school restriction. This document is now prepared for submission to the OHSAA board of directors for their upcoming policy review session.

The burnout argument is a joke. They are kids they just want to be on the court with their friends.
My son loves playing but this rule keeps pushing him away from the game he loves. Just let them play.
RIDICULOUS rule. Why punish the kids who just want to get better in the offseason? OHSAA needs to get with the times.
Totally agree the two per school rule definitely discriminates Ohio student athletes against all other surrounding states. It also discriminates against small rural schools and their student athletes because the numbers are not there to have multiple teams and travel to the bigger cities for these kids is not practical. This is an outdated rule and needs to change to give all student athletes a fair chance and the same opportunities that other surrounding states and larger communities have.
This is a worthless rule and only hurts the children. Abolish the 2 per team player and let these kids continue to build on teams they have worked so hard with. This rule causes exclusion!
Unfair!!
Abolish the two per school, it will give more kids a chance to play the sport.
