BECAUSE The United States of America is founded on the principles of freedom of religion, speech, and the idea of personal privacy;

AND the citizens of the United States of America are constitutionally protected to exercise their political and religious beliefs without fear of persecution by the Government;

AND, ALTHOUGH the Internal Revenue Service is required by law  to act without prejudice or concern for political affiliation in exercising its duties;

The Internal Revenue Service has willfully and purposefully infringed on the rights of millions of law abiding Americans;

BY TARGETING conservative groups and individuals for excessive  scrutiny;

WHILE NOT TARGETING liberal groups for excessive scrutiny during the same time period;

We, the undersigned, demand the abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service by Congress in favor of a simplified tax code;;
