Total waste of monies...car users pay road tax....we need to be able to travel on this bridge...not be stuck in a long line of traffic....what about all the schools on the Northside of town....most people have to travel to them. Bike lanes have been empty any time I have passed

Ridiculous plan thought up by some Green Party goodie two shoes. An extra 30/40mins sitting in traffic queue beside empty bicycle lanes.
Surely the extra time spent in traffics queues has large effect in Carbon Emissions.
Great idea for summer, but see the novelty and numbers drop over winter. Waste of tax payers money again

The amount of traffic this decision will cause after matches in thomand and the Gaelic grounds will be horrific. There is now little to no room for any motorist to pull in or move over for oncoming ambulance or fire fighters to get passed.
This awful system is going over a bridge where so many people have unfortunately taken their own lives, the money that was spent on this should have been used to help those who feel the need to end their lives. Disgusted.

Complete disregard for city workers. Cyclists certainly deserve a safe environment, but this was an ill conceived "solution"..

Why not make the footpath a single file and share the foot path with a bike lane.

The traffic congestion is already hectic on this road, this is going to cause bedlam in the rush hour with so many schools close by

Why not use the footpath on the right (as u enter town) as the cycle lane, there is hardly ever anyone using it
