Wheelie Bin Rubbish Emptying Returned To Weekly, Introduction of Full Size Blue Wheelie Bins For Recycling Including Black Paper Box Inner For Paper A
Why should we only have our wheelie bins emptied once a fortnight when a huge amount of Council areas in the UK are having theirs emptied every week. In summer the smell from the average wheelie bin is disgraceful. Most people I have spoken to are now struggling with this new 'One House - One Bin' system. It is extremely unfair on families who are obviously going to have more waste. What Aberdeenshire Council fails to understand is that a lot of rubbish we through away is not recyclable. But due to Aberdeenshire's superficial 'Recycling Programme', they are not recycling types of items that other councils are recycling. Councils elsewhere have the following system. 1 large green wheelie bin which is emptied every week for household waste. 1 large blue wheelie bin for recycling. This includes a black box inner especially for paper. Cardboard is included in this bin. Something which Aberdeenshire refuse collectors are not removing. This bin is emptied once a fortnight. And a large brown wheelie for garden waste which is also emptied once a fortnight. Other councils are also facing the same financial restraints that Aberdeenshire Council are facing, but are dealing with it in a totally different way.
