In modern society, equality for everyone is still a major problem. ABCD Equality believe that people should be taught about the importance of equality from a young age - in school. Through Key Stage 3 and 4, students should be taught the huge subjects of equality, feminism and rape culture and then, with all the correct information, can decide for themselves how they feel about these issues, and be aware of today's issues and needs for change. Currently, the citizenship curricular contains at least 4 subjects that teach about politics, and how a country is run and NONE teach about the massive problems highlighted.
A change must be made, and we think youth is the right place to start.
