ABA for ALL is a movement that needs to happen. ABA or applied behavioral analysis therapy, is the most common treatment for children on the autism spectrum. It's a costly therapy that isn't covered by all insurances.

We have a federal health insurance plan due to the fact that my husband has a government job. They choose not to cover ABA therapy and that should NOT be an option.

We have three children on the autism spectrum, our oldest two have high functioning autism, while our youngest has severe autism. And he's been denied ABA therapy because of stupid technicalities. And that is unacceptable.

No child should have to go without treatment that could change their lives. No, autism isn't fatal. But he could be living a more productive and enriching life if he had access to ABA therapy.

The government needs to understand the importance of this issue and do something to change it.

If those on government assistance have access to this therapy, then those that pay for their own health insurance certainly should.

ABA therapy should be integrated into special education in the public school system.

There need to be more options available for the special needs children in this country. Regardless of their social or financial status.
