Eastridge Meadows is located off of AA highway. It has 220 families who live within the Blue Springs city limit, but do not have access to parks and sidewalks as they should. This neighborhood is located off AA, just east of Wilbur Young Park. There is no shoulder on the road, and it is unsafe for pedestrians to travel safely along this highway. The city is aware of this issue, but has neglected to take any action after numerous inquiries from residents for more than 15 years. City council has been contacted, and the response is that it would be too costly to put in a sidewalk and that part of the land is county owned. After speaking with MDOT (Missouri Department of Transportation), it was determined that the money is available to Blue Springs to make improvements, it just isn't a priority. They are spending it elsewhere. There are numberous residents, including children and teenagers, that walk along this dangerous road because it is the only way to get to the newly renovated park nearby or even to get to school. This is unacceptable!!! Please sign this petition if you support these citizens and their need to gain access to city ammenities. It is only a matter of time before someone ends up being killed on that road, and the city should take responsibility for this necessary improvement.

I think it's very disappointing that Blue Springs has little regard for this neighborhood and continues to keep us cut off.
We lived here for 20 years and this would also help people who lose their disc in the disc golf area. Kids can walk to the highschool or ride their bikes.
Please clean up AA leading to Eastridge Meadows. My kid needs access to walk home from Blue Springs South...safely.
I have driven this road for over 15 years as a school bus driver. Watching kids and other pedestrians walk along here makes me sick to my stomach. If a car serves just the slightest they could be hit. Kids miss the bus and this is what they have to walk along to get to school. Surely something can be done.
We have 2 children that are school aged and would like for them to have access to the school and park off of Adams Dairy.

Please give us access to walk out of our neighborhood safely to school/park. From Eatridge Meadows to 40 hwy would be more sufficient. Thank whomever for considering.

Please connect our neighborhood to Adam’s Dairy Parkway so we can access and enjoy the amenities that our tax dollars help to fund.
